YOUR GOAL COMES FIRST
What would the right English result help you do?
The goal might be a course abroad, an immigration application or nursing registration. Start with the actual test and score required for that goal. An overall band alone may not be enough if the receiving organisation also sets a minimum for individual skills.
This is a useful starting point if…
- You are taking IELTS for the first time and want a structured starting point across all four skills.
- You already have a result and need to focus on a lower Writing, Speaking, Reading or Listening score.
- You are balancing work, study or family commitments and need a preparation plan that fits the hours you can put in.
Check Academic or General Training with the receiving organisation before booking. The training service fee and the official test fee are separate, and a target band is not a promised result.
YOUR PACKAGE, EXPLAINED
IELTS Preparation Programme
You may be preparing for university, immigration or a professional requirement. Our IELTS Preparation Programme starts with where your English is now and the score the receiving organisation asks for. Lessons and feedback then focus on the skills you need to strengthen, rather than a one-size-fits-all target.
What we can help you prepare
- An initial English-level assessment
- A personal study plan based on your target
- Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking lessons
- Practice tests and timed mock examinations
- Writing corrections and speaking feedback
- Progress tracking and test-booking guidance
Academic and General Training are different test options. The organisation receiving your result sets the score it requires. Any refund arrangement must be confirmed in writing before enrolment; no unspecified target-band refund promise is made here.
KNOW WHAT TO PREPARE
IELTS Preparation: your starting checklist.
Use this to see what you already have and what needs attention. The final checklist depends on your route and circumstances. You do not upload documents here.
- Identification accepted by your chosen test centre when booking
- Your purpose for taking IELTS and target band
- Previous results or an outline of your current level, if available
- Your intended test date and available study hours
- Preferred learning format and any learning-support needs
Make the records useful.
- Your required result
- Keep a copy of the school, regulator or immigration instruction that sets your test and score. Bring the exact requirement rather than relying on a friend’s target.
- Previous results and practice
- An existing score report can help identify weak areas. If you have never taken IELTS, an outline of your current English use still gives the first conversation a starting point.
- Study time and support needs
- Be clear about weekly availability, preferred format and any learning or accessibility needs. Confirm official test accommodations separately with the test provider where relevant.
Start with a summary in your enquiry. Keep passport numbers, bank statements and other private records out of the first message.
A CLEARER WAY TO START
How your IELTS preparation is organised
These steps explain the preparation to discuss. Your written service scope confirms which tasks are included.
Start my IELTS enquiryConfirm the test and target
Bring the receiving organisation’s requirement, intended test date and any previous results. Identify both the overall band and any minimum skill scores before choosing preparation priorities.
Assess your current starting point
Use an initial assessment to understand your present strengths and gaps. A useful plan distinguishes limited English knowledge from unfamiliarity with the test tasks.
Build a realistic study routine
Agree the available lessons, study expectations and independent practice hours. Confirm the teaching format and programme duration in writing before enrolling.
Practise all four skills with feedback
Work through Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking lessons. Use writing corrections and speaking feedback to identify specific changes to practise, rather than simply completing more questions.
Review progress and prepare for the test
Timed mock examinations help you practise pacing and identify remaining gaps. Review progress against your target and follow the official provider’s booking and identification instructions.
BEFORE YOU COMMIT
Understand the full cost.
The support fee is one part of your budget. Ask for the currency, included tasks and payment terms in writing, then account for the separate charges.
Read our fees & service information ↗- Preparation programme
- Request the service charge and currency with the programme length, lesson format, schedule and included feedback. Ask whether materials and mock tests are part of that quote.
- Official test booking
- Pay the examination fee to the official test provider. Confirm the correct test type, accepted identification and available dates before completing the booking.
- Retakes and enrolment terms
- A retake or provider change can involve additional fees. Any partial-refund arrangement must have exact written conditions; no undefined “pass or refund” promise is offered here.
Paid separately: The official IELTS examination fee and any retake or test-centre charges are separate. Confirm the programme length, delivery format and schedule in your written enrolment details.
BEFORE YOU START
IELTS Preparation: your questions.
Is IELTS a pass-or-fail examination?
IELTS Academic and General Training report band scores. The score you need depends on the institution, regulator or immigration route receiving your result.
Academic or General Training?
Confirm the receiving organisation’s requirements before booking. For Express Entry, IRCC specifies IELTS General Training when using IELTS.
What is the class schedule?
Ask about the current delivery format, duration and timetable before enrolling. These should appear in your written programme details.
Is the examination fee included?
No. The training service charge is separate from the test fee paid to the official test provider.
What if I do not know my current English level?
You can start with an assessment discussion. Tell us why you need IELTS and the study time you have; a previous score is helpful but is not required for the initial enquiry.
Can I focus on Writing or Speaking?
Mention the skill you want to improve and any previous band scores. Writing corrections and speaking feedback are included in the proposed programme; agree the balance of lessons in your study plan.
Will you guarantee band 7 or another score?
No. Preparation supports your progress, but the official result depends on your performance. Use your target to guide the study plan, not as a guaranteed outcome.
Do you offer online or in-person classes?
Ask for the current delivery options, timetable and location if applicable. These details will be confirmed before enrolment rather than assumed from the website.
Do I receive a refund if I miss my target?
Any refund arrangement must be supplied in writing before payment, with the amount, qualifying conditions and claim process clearly stated. An IELTS band score is not a universal pass mark.
