YOUR GOAL COMES FIRST
Build a study plan around your next chapter.
If a new qualification is how you want to move forward, start with what you want to learn and what you can realistically fund. Choosing a course because it sounds like an easy way abroad can leave you with a costly mismatch. Your subject, education history, entry requirements and budget should make sense together.
This is a useful starting point if…
- You have SHS, diploma, degree or postgraduate qualifications and want to research an appropriate next level.
- You are comparing schools and courses and need to understand the admission and funding preparation.
- You already have a school offer and want help organising the next application stage.
A school offer and a study permit are separate decisions. A study permit is not a promise of a job, permanent residence or permission to work without conditions.
YOUR PACKAGE, EXPLAINED
Study in Canada Application Support
The ambition may be clear even when the application process is not. Our Study in Canada Application Support package helps connect your course choice, admission preparation and study-permit paperwork. Start before choosing a school or bring an offer you already hold, then agree the tasks you need help with.
What we can help you prepare
- An initial student-profile discussion
- School and programme research based on your study plans
- Admission-application support
- A document and financial-evidence preparation checklist
- Guidance on preparing your study plan or letter of explanation
- Study-permit application preparation within the agreed scope
- A biometrics and pre-departure checklist, where relevant
School admission and the immigration decision are made separately. The document requirements depend on your circumstances. Confirm the authorized professional handling any paid Canadian immigration advice or representation before engaging that work.
KNOW WHAT TO PREPARE
Study in Canada: your starting checklist.
Use this to see what you already have and what needs attention. The final checklist depends on your route and circumstances. You do not upload documents here.
- Valid passport
- Academic transcripts and certificates
- A letter of acceptance from the relevant designated learning institution
- A PAL/TAL, or evidence of an applicable exception, where required
- Evidence of funds for tuition, living costs and travel
- Your study plan and language results, where required
- Medical, police and family documents, when applicable
Make the records useful.
- Academic history and course choice
- Prepare a clear education timeline, including gaps and previous qualifications. Explain your own reasons for the proposed course rather than using a generic study-plan template.
- Acceptance and attestation
- The school issues the acceptance document. PAL/TAL requirements and exceptions depend on the current rules and your circumstances; check before treating the application as ready.
- Financial support
- Organise evidence for tuition, living expenses and travel. A plan that depends on finding work after arrival does not replace the required proof of financial support.
Start with a summary in your enquiry. Keep passport numbers, bank statements and other private records out of the first message.
A CLEARER WAY TO START
From choosing a course to study-permit preparation
These steps explain the preparation to discuss. Your written service scope confirms which tasks are included.
Start my Canada study enquiryTalk through your education and aims
Share your qualification, preferred subject, intended intake and approximate budget. Identify the school research or application work you need, rather than paying for an undefined package.
Research the school and programme
Compare entry requirements, course content, tuition and admission dates. Check the relevant designated learning institution information; a school listing alone should not be treated as a promise of future work or immigration benefits.
Prepare the admission application
Organise certificates, transcripts and any school-specific language requirements. Keep track of submitted applications, official school charges and the conditions attached to an offer.
Prepare funding and permit documents
After the relevant admission steps, identify the letter of acceptance, PAL/TAL requirement or applicable exception, study explanation and financial evidence needed under current IRCC instructions.
Check submission and departure tasks
Review the applicable application checklist and any biometrics, medical or additional-document request. After a decision, use the actual approval documents and school instructions to prepare for arrival.
BEFORE YOU COMMIT
Understand the full cost.
The support fee is one part of your budget. Ask for the currency, included tasks and payment terms in writing, then account for the separate charges.
Read our fees & service information ↗- Support service
- Confirm whether the quote covers school research, the number of admission applications, study-plan preparation and permit-related assistance. Ask who handles any paid immigration advice.
- School and study costs
- School application fees, deposits and tuition are separate. Check the school’s own payment instructions, deadlines and refund conditions before making a deposit.
- Permit and preparation costs
- Official application and biometrics charges, language tests, medical examinations, translations and travel have separate costs. Keep a full budget beyond the service fee.
Paid separately: School application charges, tuition or school deposits, official permit fees, biometrics, medical examinations, tests and other third-party costs are separate.
BEFORE YOU START
Study in Canada: your questions.
Can I enquire before choosing a school?
Yes. Tell us your qualification and the subject you want to study. School and programme research is part of the proposed package.
Does everyone need a PAL or TAL?
No single checklist fits every applicant. IRCC has requirements and exceptions; check the current official instructions for your study level and circumstances.
Is my school deposit included?
No. The school’s charges and deposit are separate from Travel This Year’s service fee. Ask for an itemised quote before paying.
Can I start with WASSCE, a diploma or an HND?
You can start an enquiry with any of these qualifications. Admission depends on the particular school and programme, so share your results and intended subject before assuming a course is available to you.
Do I need IELTS for every Canadian school?
Schools and programmes set their own language requirements. Check the exact offer and admission rules before booking a test or assuming an exemption. IELTS preparation is available if that test fits your needs.
Can I fund everything by working after I arrive?
Your study-permit preparation must address the financial evidence required by IRCC. Do not build the application budget around hoped-for earnings in Canada; any permission to work also has conditions.
Does studying guarantee permanent residence?
No. Admission, study authorization, work eligibility and permanent residence are different matters. Choose a genuine course you can afford and check any later route against the rules that apply at that time.
What if I already have a letter of acceptance?
Tell us the school, programme and stage in your first enquiry without sending private documents. We can discuss the remaining preparation tasks and quote for that scope rather than assuming you need school research.
