YOUR GOAL COMES FIRST
Turn your education goal into a clearer next step.
Start with the subject you want to study and why it fits your future. A school name or a visa appointment alone is not a study plan. Look at entry requirements, course costs, available funding and the preparation needed for the intended intake before choosing which assistance to buy.
This is a useful starting point if…
- You want to pursue an academic or vocational programme and need to understand the preparation sequence.
- You are gathering school and financial information and want a checklist for the application stage.
- You already have an offer or Form I-20 and want to discuss help with the remaining visa-preparation tasks.
For academic study, the relevant category is commonly F; vocational study can use M. The school and programme matter. Student status has specific conditions and is not a guarantee of work or permanent residence.
YOUR PACKAGE, EXPLAINED
USA Student Visa Application Support
You may be at the research stage, applying to schools or already holding an offer. Our USA Student Visa Application Support starts there. We help you organise the preparation you need and distinguish the school’s admission process from the government’s student-visa decision.
What we can help you prepare
- An initial discussion of your study plans and current application stage
- A preparation checklist for school and visa-related information
- Guidance on organising admission and Form I-20 information
- Preparation guidance for the application and interview steps available within the agreed service
- A written scope, price and list of separate school and official charges
The school issues Form I-20 and the U.S. authorities decide the visa. Academic study commonly uses the F category and vocational study can use M; the appropriate category depends on the programme. No admission or visa outcome is guaranteed.
KNOW WHAT TO PREPARE
Study in the USA: your starting checklist.
Use this to see what you already have and what needs attention. The final checklist depends on your route and circumstances. You do not upload documents here.
- Valid passport
- Your education history, transcripts and certificates
- Intended course and school details, or an existing offer
- Form I-20 when issued by the school
- Financial-support information
- Relevant language results and previous visa decisions
Make the records useful.
- Education and language records
- Organise transcripts, certificates and any test results requested by the school. A language requirement depends on the institution and programme; do not assume one test fits every application.
- School and I-20 documents
- Keep the offer, Form I-20 when issued and relevant correspondence together. Distinguish a school acceptance from a visa approval when making plans.
- Financial support
- Identify who will pay, what funds are available and what evidence the school and official process require. Ask the school directly about any scholarship terms rather than assuming funding is included.
Start with a summary in your enquiry. Keep passport numbers, bank statements and other private records out of the first message.
A CLEARER WAY TO START
Understand the school, I-20 and visa stages
These steps explain the preparation to discuss. Your written service scope confirms which tasks are included.
Start my USA study enquirySet out your course and funding goals
Share your education history, preferred subject, intended start date and the funds or sponsor support available. Clarify whether your request concerns admission preparation, visa preparation or both.
Check the school and admission requirements
The official student-visa route involves a Student and Exchange Visitor Program-approved school. Check the institution, programme and the school’s own application conditions rather than relying only on a course advert.
Organise the school’s Form I-20 information
After the relevant admission process, the school issues Form I-20. Check personal and programme details and ask the school about any errors. Travel This Year does not issue this form.
Prepare the official visa steps
Use current instructions for SEVIS, the DS-160 application, applicable charges and appointment arrangements. The order and records should follow the official process for your application.
Prepare for questions about your studies
Be ready to explain the actual course, your education background and how costs will be met. Keep answers consistent with your genuine records and follow any further official request after the interview.
BEFORE YOU COMMIT
Understand the full cost.
The support fee is one part of your budget. Ask for the currency, included tasks and payment terms in writing, then account for the separate charges.

- Confirm the exact admission-related and visa-preparation tasks available, the currency and payment stages. School research or additional applications should only be assumed included when agreed in writing.
- School costs
- Application charges, tuition, deposits and living costs are separate. Read the institution’s own payment and refund terms before committing funds.
- Visa and travel costs
- SEVIS fees, official visa charges, document services, travel and other third-party costs have their own budget. A service fee does not buy a visa, a scholarship or a job.
Paid separately: School application charges, deposits and tuition, SEVIS fees, official visa charges, travel and other third-party costs are separate.
BEFORE YOU START
Study in the USA: your questions.
Why is this called student-visa support?
The U.S. process uses student-visa categories, rather than Canada’s study-permit terminology. Your course and school determine the relevant category.
Do you issue the I-20?
No. The school issues Form I-20 after the relevant admission process. The enquiry helps clarify your stage and preparation needs.
Do I need a school offer to contact you?
You can enquire while exploring schools or after receiving an offer. Tell us where you are so the written service scope matches your actual needs.
Do I need admission before the student-visa stage?
The school’s admission and Form I-20 steps are central to the process. You can enquire earlier to understand the preparation, but a service enquiry does not replace a school offer or the official documents.
What is SEVIS?
SEVIS is the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System. Applicable students follow the official SEVIS registration and fee instructions as part of the process. Confirm the details for your programme.
Can I work while studying in the USA?
Student employment is subject to category-specific rules and authorization. Do not assume you can take any job or use future earnings to replace the financial evidence needed for the application.
Does this service include a scholarship?
No scholarship is promised. If you want to pursue funding, discuss that aim and check the institution or sponsor’s real award criteria, deadlines and terms.
Can I start if I already have an I-20?
Yes. Mention your current stage and the preparation you want help with. The written quote should reflect the remaining tasks, with official SEVIS and visa charges identified separately.
